LimitState:GEO features in new Geotextiles & Geomembranes Article

LimitState's geotechnical stability software, LimitState:GEO, features in an article in Vol. 43 of Geotextiles and Geomembranes, examining the optimal reinforcement density in mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls when used as bridge abutments.

In the paper LimitState:GEO is used by the authors to optimize the spacing of horizontally aligned reinforcement. It is shown that placement of dense reinforcements near the crest of surcharge-supporting walls has a notable benefit for stability, while placement of dense reinforcements at the toe improved stability for walls without a surcharge.
