LimitState director to present at International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering

LimitState director, Dr Colin Smith, will present a paper on DLO at the 19th International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering in Seoul, Korea this month.

DLO (Discontinuity Layout Optimization) is the numerical method underpinning the LimitState:GEO geotechnical stability analysis software.

Dr Smith will be discussing 'Enhanced interpretation of geotechnical limit analysis solutions using DLO' including use of the method for optimal reinforcement design. The paper will be presented during Session 1 of the conference on September 20th 2017.
