LimitState MD takes up Personal Chair at the University of Sheffield

LimitState congratulates Matthew Gilbert on his promotion to Professor at the University of Sheffield, UK.

The promotion recognizes his many contributions to the University over the years, including his work in making methods developed during the course of his research available to a wide audience. LimitState Chairman Dr Jim Goulding commented:

“Matthew has worked tirelessly to ensure engineers have access to practically useful software which incorporates cutting edge techniques developed at the University. We were delighted to learn of his well-deserved promotion.”

Professor Gilbert, who co-founded LimitState Ltd in 2006, will continue in his role as Managing Director of the Company. He previously held a Readership at the University of Sheffield.
