LimitState:GEO features in soil reinforcement article

LimitState:GEO is featured in an article focusing on how discrete soil reinforcement can be modelled in numerical limit analysis procedures. The article appeared in the July 2013 issue of the Canadian Geotechnical Journal.

The article, entitled 'Modelling discrete soil reinforcement in numerical limit analysis' and authored by Sam Clarke, Colin Smith and Matthew Gilbert of the University of Sheffield and LimitState, also describes the soil reinforcement model used in the LimitState:GEO software. LimitState:GEO is also used to demonstrate that the margin of safety found by traditional limit equilibrium methods can be non-conservative for some reinforced soil problems.
