International Rail Bodies License LimitState:RING
Recent weeks have seen Network Rail renew their existing licenses and Österreichische Bundesbahnen (Austrian Federal Railways) take out new licenses for our masonry arch analysis software LimitState:RING.
Network Rail run, maintain and develop Britain’s tracks, signalling system, rail bridges, tunnels, level crossings, viaducts and 18 key stations.
Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB) run the national railway system of Austria, and are also the administrators of Liechtenstein's railways. The company carries almost 450 million passengers per year on 3,500 miles of routes.
Both organizations are members of the International Union of Railways (UIC), the worldwide international organisation of the railway sector, which includes nearly 200 members from across all the continents. Their aim is to promote rail transport at world level and meet the challenges of mobility and sustainable development. UIC aided in the development of LimitState:RING 2.0 as part of their Masonry Arch Bridges project.
