Seismic Action Analysis

The LimitState:GEO seismic analysis functionality allows a pseudo-static analysis to be undertaken on any problem geometry. The dual-mode approach allows the effect of an additional fixed horizontal and/or vertical acceleration to be investigated, or the value of the acceleration required to trigger instability to be determined.

The flexible modelling capabilities of LimitState:GEO allows complex problems, such as quay wall collapse, to be straightforwardly modelled. Determining the horizontal acceleration required, e.g. to reach a specific active earth pressure on a retaining wall, is a quick and simple process.
