New ASCE Paper featuring LimitState:SLAB

A paper which uses LimitState's automated yield-line analysis software, LimitState:SLAB, has recently been published in the ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering.

The paper demonstrates that as well as being applicable to simple problems, the discontinuity layout optimization (DLO) procedure, which systematically automates the yield-line method, can also be applied to a wide range of more complex practical slab problems, e.g. incorporating orthotropic reinforcement and "lift off" at supports. The method can be used to reveal hidden reserves of strength in existing slabs, or to more efficient designs for new slabs.
