LimitState Release Peregrine v7 - Major Update for Rhino3D Structural Optimization Plugin

LimitState is pleased to announce the release of a new version of Peregrine, the powerful optimization plugin for Grasshopper, the visual programming language and environment for Rhinoceros. Peregrine v7, now available for download via Food4Rhino, brings a range of enhancements aimed at improving the user experience and delivering greater efficiency.

Among the features in the new version:

Compatibility with Rhino v8: Peregrine v7 integrates seamlessly with the latest version of Rhino, offering users enhanced functionalities and capabilities within their engineering projects.

Enhanced output from the Simplification component: The Simplification component now generates higher-quality structural layouts, thanks to the integration of a built-in Geometry Optimization (GO) stage, delivering improved project outcomes.

Streamlined workflow for Euler buckling: Users will benefit from an improved workflow when using Peregrine's Euler buckling functionality, making the process more intuitive and efficient.

Improved solver reliability: Peregrine v7 prioritizes filtered layouts over unfiltered alternatives during solution and post-process operations, thus minimizing the likelihood of users encountering issues such as 'zero' area elements in downstream stages, providing smoother project progression.

Extended Free license: To support users, a Free license is provided to give all users access to core functionality until February 2025.

LimitState suggests all Peregrine download the v7 update at the earliest opportunity.
